Hong Kong - Day 2

So for day two in Hong Kong we met up with my friend Amy from Toronto. She just happened to be in HK at the same time as us and we didn’t even plan it that way! She took us to an amazing place for Dim Sum and it was worth every minute of the hour we waited to get in. There are only enough seats for 30 people and the line gets up to over 100 people. Popular place.

Then we headed to ride the cable car up to the biggest Buddha in the world. We waited in line for 2 hrs to get up. It was one of those deceitful lines that always looked like it was just around the corner. Aghhh. The ride up was pretty cool as you can see by the pictures. The line you see down the mountain is the trail that you can hike. It takes about 4 hrs each way. I was glad to be on the cable car! On the way down, we gave in and paid the extra money to not have to wait in the line for another 2 hrs and were down in 15 min.

The Budda was cool – we made the pictures more interesting by copying the statues.

Notice we even have the fabric around our arms like the statue!

He's POSING not proposing! ha ha!

Bob pulling off his best middle east look...aka forgot the sunscreen and doesn't want to burn his head!
