Ulingan Pool Party

This last weekend we had 17 of the Ulingan kids to my house for a pool party. They were so excited to come that when we arrived they were begging us to leave right away! We stuffed them in a van and a couple of taxi's and off we went. Some of them had never been in a car before so it was really exciting for them. Although we quickly realized that some of them get car sick and we had 3 pukers. Glad that wasn't in my taxi! The kids in the van were singing Justin Bieber and were in awe of all of the sights they had never seen before. Ulingan is about 30 min from my house. They don't like air conditioning so all the windows were down. When we arrived at the house they went bonkers! Of course the first thing they said was "Momma J, you are so rich!"

We got everyone changed and/or down to their undies and tossed them all in the shower to get 80% of the grime off. The floor was black. I don't know if they were more excited about the shower or the pool. They were swimming, jumping and flipping. I couldn't go into the deep end for fear of drowning as I always had 3-4 kids hanging on me. After a couple of hours of swimming we had Jollibee - another super special treat for these kids. We topped off the day with cookies and they were in heaven. It was time to leave so we piled 14 kids/adults into our 7 seater SUV and the rest in a taxi. They were all pooped but had the time of their lives. Their smiles were worth all the effort and cleaning up of puke aka birth control!
