We went to an Indian restaurant and I waved the waitress over to take our order. Although this is disrespectful in North America - this is customary in Asia. They actually won't come serve you until you wave them over.
Waitress: Yes ma'am. Can I take your order?
Me: I will have the Butter Chicken (spicy) with basmati rice and a San Mig Light.
Waitress: Is that all?
Me: Yes
Waitress starts to walk away...Bob and I start giggling
Me: Ummm....Wait! My husband would like to eat as well.
PS....Bob did get to eat.
