So I learned a few things today as I read all the magazines and literature I have been given over the past week or so. Did you know?

The Philippines is the 12th most populous country in the world.

There are more than 200 volcanoes - hence the name "Ring of Fire"

80% of the total population is Catholic (hence no birth control and families are very large)

The Philippines is regarded as the texting capital of the world. More that 400 million text messages are sent by 35 million cell phone subscribers. (Trust me, everything is done by text here as it is only 1 peso to send a text and 6 pesos per minute to call. You can order food, beer, mani/pedi all by text message. You can even get a Dr. to prescribe your medication by text!)
